In March 2019, Holiday Inn group introduced its first Holiday Inn and Suites (Gajah Mada) in Indonesia. Well it's been a very long time since we had our staycation here, just a week after their grand opening. We were so privileged to experience their first Holiday Inn and Suites in Indonesia, which is adjacent to Citywalk Gajah Mada, West Jakarta. We were quite packed with activities back then, so we didn't get the chance to write a review on our blog. But some of you have probably watched our Youtube Channel reviewing this beautiful 4 star hotel. Everything was so brand new and all the staffs were very nice and attentive. Definitely feeling like a 5 star hospitality. Let's check out our beautiful Suite room.
Anyway if you're new to our Blog, be sure to check out our Youtube Channel: Jktdelicacy! We've made the staycation vlog on Youtube  as well CLICK HERE TO WATCH. Don't forget to subscribe :)
Upon arriving the lobby and checking in at the receptionist, we were offered with a very refreshing welcome drink. It took us a few minutes of waiting while our room was being prepared. There must be some surprises in our room. Near the lobby there's a Duta Lounge where you can sit back, relax and calm yourself while having some drinks.
If you noticed on the left side of the receptionist, there's a small path where you could reach Citywalk Gajah Mada because the mall and the hotel was adjacent. So staying here must be very convenient knowing that there are many options of dining at Citywalk, though the hotel itself has an all day dining restaurant named Duta Restaurant.

Welcome to our Suite Room! This is a very spacious room comprises of a dedicated living room and a bed room. The total combined rooms is 69 sqm which is the biggest 4 star hotel room we've ever experienced. I mean you can tell from the pictures below that the living room itself is huge and spacious with a desk, an big LED TV and two sofas.

We were quite suprised when we saw these petite cakes on our living room's table. Such a temptation especially with the vibrant colors. And when we tried them, they were so delicious. Do not underestimate. Thank you very much Holiday Inn for the surprise!
ANOTHER SURPRISE! The team prepared for this super cute photos and the craft. We felt like very special with the cakes and this photo.
Here comes the master bed room with a baby crib for Louisa. Baby was 1 year and 1 month at that time, but she didn't want to sleep alone. So, we only used the baby crib whenever we wanted to do something else when we couldn't hold her.
Another hand-writing welcome letter on our bed. We really thankful for such hospitality, I mean we've been treated very well even before we stayed. All those small things made up a very memorable staying experience.
Our window's view was somewhat facing toward Lindeteves Trade Center, but not exactly straight in front of our window. Still a beautiful city view but don't expect Jakarta's skyscrapers view. Because the hotel is located around the Gajah Mada China Town/ Pancoran, though it is just a few kilometers away from the city center.
You can spot the infinity pool on the bottom left corner from our window.
The bathroom was surprisingly spacious and luxurious. We didn't expect a big bathroom like this in a 4 star hotel. So it was definitely beyond our expectation. We were just hoping for a bathtub considering it's a so called Suite room, but anyway it's just an extra.
Our master bed room was way too spacious that it could be a playground for our baby. The floor was all in carpet making it so homey and comfortable. And what we liked the most from the room is the super huge window overlooking Jakarta's city.

For dining option, you can dine in at Duta Restaurant, their all day dining restaurant serving you breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can also order foods from your room through the room service. But the restaurant itself is really beautiful and luxury, definitely not to be missed when staying here. The picture below was during the dinner time for ala carte menu only, so the buffet table was empty. But during the breakfast, it's gonna be a buffet one.
We ordered a tenderoin steak, a salmon steak and gado gado with complimentary bread. We have to admit that the cooking was not their best at that time (March 2019). Because our tenderloin was sightly too raw for a medium cooked, so we requested for medium and they took away the steak for another minutes of cooking. Sadly it turned out to be dark like burnt on the outside but perfectly cooked on the inside. It was really good actually and the meat was definitely super tender and juicy. Great job for that at least they served premium quality beef. The salmon was slightly burnt as well, but it was delicious as well.
Their buffet breakfast was good back then, from pastries, Indonesian food, Continental breakfast to fresh fruits and salad. We actually expected more from their food choices, but after all no complain as this was not a 5 star hotel. I mean the room rate itself is cheap enough for such a big Suite room. So, we pretty enjoyed everything.
Welcome to the outdoor sport area on the 5th floor where you can go to the gym and the swimming pool. There's nothing fancy here, simply a place to relax and enjoy your afternoon. You can watch the beautiful sunset from the pool area.

Overall, it was a very nice sleep, a very comfortable fluffy soft and clean bed. We pretty enjoyed our super spacious room and really appreciated all those surprises and hospitality. It's our second holiday inn hotel staycation in Jakarta and we're very looking forward to our next Holiday Inn hotel in the future. Thank you for reading.
