SAINE DAISE x EIO - Pantai Indah Kapuk


Well, we got invited again by Nibble Apps. Really appreciate for this event because we've been very curious to try Saine Daise, but we just haven't really got the right time to visit here. We are glad to visit here because it is very clean, pretty and instagenic. It was fully packed with a few events at the time of our visit, from bridal shower, birthday party, to bloggers gathering by Nibble App.


Saine Daise itself is an Italian fine restaurant with Japanese high quality ingredients. Its not your everyday casual restaurant and the dishes are not your typical comfort food. They try to create such beautiful and exquisite dishes, so its either you like it or you hate it. There are 2 floors here: the 1st floor is a EIO cake store, while the 2nd floor is for Saine Daise.

ASIAN PEACH SPARKLE - IDR 55.000

Peach, Lemon Juice, Honey, Rosemary, Ginger, and Soda Water. Kinda like sweet and sour chilling drink.


NOJITO - IDR 45.000

Well, this is simple mojito :) Lemon, Lime, Mint leaves.


CUDDLES ON THE BEACH - IDR 55.000

Mixed fruits with shangria, a bit sour but very refreshing.



SCALLOPS, KALE & GARLIC BUTTER - IDR 120.000

I never really had a bad or negative feedbacks from Scallops dishes. And this one was pretty good, even the asparagus was nice crunchy and very fresh.


GYUDON - IDR 115.000, FOIE GRAS - IDR 95.000, UNI - 75.000

If you noticed that last month I went to a very famous high end Japanese Restaurant and I tried their Gyu Don. I didn't particularly love it, its just bland. But, this Gyu Don by Saine Daise is seriously THE BEST that I've tried by far. At first, I was skeptical because I've tried it before in other place, but then my first spoon here was BOOM! I can't quite describe how delicious this was, its just insanely good, like everyone who were with me here agreed that this was really good.

But one thing about this menu is that it is expensive. This bowl costs you IDR 285.000++ and its not really big actually. But if you are really curious about the goodness of this bowl, then you may want to try the original Gyu Don without the additional toppings, which are Foie Gras and Uni. These two are exclusive ingredients.



FRESH BLUE SWIMMER CRAB with HOUSE MADE BLACK INK PASTA - IDR 150.000

A little fact about this menu is that the Blue Swimmer Crab was alive before cooked. They have aquarium on the top floor to keep the crab alive and fresh when served. For me, the spaghetti was kinda firm for my liking, the flavor was also fishy. Well, you may like it if you are a fan of crab or seafood :) The crab meat was very fresh though. And the fresh leaves were really good, LOL. I'm not trying to make jokes out of this high priced dish, but for real the leaves was very unique.


HOUSE MADE MARINATED BLACK CODE - IDR 195.000

Ok first of all, I have to be very honest that the cod was really small to be considered a main course. The owner explained that the size of Cod fish is also small as it is. I can't deny that the fish texture was really smooth, almost similar to raw salmon's texture. The sauce was kinda like Hongkong Steamed Fish soup, you know the typical soy sauce flavor. The overall taste was pretty good.


AMI EBI ANGLE HAIR - IDR 80.000


They say this is one of the most favorite dishes here. Its really pretty and very neatly plated. It certainly smells very 'truffle'. The Ami Ebi was kinda crunchy, the angel hair was lightly seasoned with salt. But, if you wanna get the best flavor out of this dish, make sure to eat it right after it arrives on the table. Because, the pasta will be dry if you keep it too long, like for example taking photos :p I give it 6/10 for flavor


The desserts here are actually from EIO on the first floor of the building. They are different from Saine Daise, but you can have your desserts at Saine Daise. They only have 2 small tables and chairs, because the concept of the store is for takeaway only.


YUZU CREMEUX WITH ALMOND SABLE - IDR 55.000

In frame is like panna cotta with sour yuzu (citrus) flavor. Its very smooth and silky, just like japanese tofu :D


EIO STRAWBERRY JAPANESE CHEESE CAKE


This is not an ordinary cheese cake. The texture was really fluffy and spongy. And it wasn't really dense like New York Cheese Cake.


VALRHONA CHOCOLATE MOUUSE - IDR 55.000

This is by far their BEST cakes amongst all that I tried. The mousse was perfectly & heavenly smooth and creamy. A MUST TRY!
