Introducing 7 new menus this February 2017 by Wilshire! Wilshire is an 'affordable' fine dining restaurant at Senopati with all those glamorous blink blink theme decoration. We got the previledge to taste some of them including the new fancy cocktails. The foods here are highly inspired by variaties of international cuisines as its name 'Wilshire' is a boulevard in Los Angeles filled with cultural mix. Please have a look!
Chicken Tortilla Soup (85k) - chicken soup made with corn tortillas, red onion, sliced avocado, cilantro, lime and sour cream.
Grilled BBQ Chicken Tacos (95k) - tacos containing guacamole, monterey jack cheese, red onion and cilantro.
Spicy Chicken Petau Pappardelle - pasta with stink beans, eggplant, and shredded chicken. Too bad I didn't taste this one :(
First main course: Insane Fried Rice (65k) aka Nasi Goreng Gila! The fancy style of the popular street food Nasi Goreng Gila with sausage, meatballs, tomato, cucumber, crackers and finished with fried shallot. Its kinda soupy btw, so at first I thought it was kinda of like risotto. But you'll get to taste sweet, salty and savory in a spoon :)
Pepper Beef Sirloin Sandwich (145k) - Focaccia bread sandwich containing USDA Prime Sirloin, sauted mushroom, monterey jack cheese, fried onion rings, mesclun and served with chips.
The Coconut Roasted Pork Ribs (225k) - Juicy Tender Pork Ribs with prik nahm pla sauce, coconut stock sauce, potato chips and fresh veggies. Prik Nahm Pla sauce is a classic Thailand sauce made of fish sauce, Thai chilies, garlic, sugar and lime juice. Its very salty btw, so try it a little bit first before you dip the whole meat inside :)
Pan Seared Dory infused with Passionfruit (155k) - fresh passionfruit sauce poured over pan seared dory and served with potato cubes.
Chocolate Dream (65k) - Dark Chocolate Ganache, chocolate glazed, vanilla ice cream, chopped caramelized cashew. OMG this was so ahhh-mmaay-ziinggg!!!!! The chocolate's texture was very smooth but very thick, creamy, and truely dark-chocolaty. This is best for sharing as the chocolate was very legit. The Vanilla ice cream blended perfectly together with the chocolate, such a perfect combination.
Tropical Rainforest (49k) - Moctail consisting of strawberry, apple, pineapple, orange, and lemon.
Whiskey Shover (112k) - Frangelico, Speyside, Single Malt and Lemon.
Bangkok Getaway (45k) - lemongrass, lychee, and apples! This one is a super refreshing mocktail.
Overall, I really love the mystical dark ambience here and its still the same Wilshire as when I first came here. The new menus are fancy, unique and very international.
