WILLIE BROTHERS STEAKHOUSE - Raclette Steak Menu


We were so honored to be one of the very first to try the new menu at Willie Brothers Steakhouse in Meruya, West Jakarta. The room interior may be intimidating like a luxurious expensive steakhouse. But when you start browsing their menus book, you'll realize this is the place to consider having your casual steak and hang out with friends. The interior was reminding us of a classic American & European style dining room. Its white, clean, comfy and very exclusive.


Before I introduce you the new menu, lets have a look at the interior. I took a lot of pictures here as it was beautiful inside. They have 2 separate rooms: the indoor and the semi outdoor room. We sat on the second option because it was brighter and it felt like in the garden.


 

RACLETTE STEAK

So let me introduce you to Raclette Steak. Raclette is basically a type of huge cheese in Swiss which is served by heating the top part of the cheese and then scraping the melting cheese right on to your dish. Here in Willie Brothers Steakhouse, they are serving Australian Ribeye Steak with Raclette cheese as their new menu starting on 2nd September 2016. Despite have been watching some videos about this unique serving dish, we haven't really tried it yet anywhere else. So, as far as we know, we haven't seen any restaurants in Jakarta serving this kind of menu.

The Raclette cheese is imported directly from Swiss and the whole cheese can weigh up to 6 kg which is massive. To heat the top part, they have a special heating machine in their restaurant which you can see below. The cheese will only be heated & served when there's an order for this Raclette Steak menu. They will scrap the cheese on your table, so its a kind of entertainment as well since we rarely see this :)


Look at that top part, its starting to boil.


This is Ribeye steak menu. Its 180 gram Ribeye with roast potato, mesclun salad, sauteed mushroom champignon, fresh tomato cherry, and Gerkin pickle. The standard steak cooking for the Raclette steak menu is Medium Well. I personally love Medium or Medium Rare, but even when cooked medium well, the steak was still perfectly tender and juicy.


This is how they serve the cheese on your steak. The cheese itself will be gooey after a few minutes, so don't expect to have it like sticky mozzarella cheese.

If you have a look on the plate, you'll see the green pickles as the sides. I love pickles and I normally find it on sandwich or burger. So, this is a perfect steak for me, I mean a complete package of Steak.


Even when cooked Medium Well, the middle was still a bit pinkish which is great for me. Still very tender and juicy.


ICED HAZELNUT LATTE



[SUMMARY] Overall, a very nice place to hang out, especially when you are craving for some affordable quality steak. Its no doubt that they steak was finely grilled. And the Raclette Steak here would be a standard for any other restaurants serving the same menu in the future :)
