Today 12 November 2016, we had a great brunch at the two-day-only-event called Tasting Table at Cassis Kitchen collaborating between Watercress Bali and Revolver Espresso, both from Bali. Watercress Bali is taking over the kitchen during this special event. Watercress is a Bali based cafe / restaurant, while Revolver Espresso is a famous coffee shop in Bali as well. Cassis Kitchen is hosting this special event for two days, 12 - 13 November 2013 during lunch time 11:00 - 17:00 PM. For this special event, they serve you 2 course meal for only IDR 300.000++/pax.
The special menu for this Tasting Table
For the starter we picked two dishes: Chia Seed Pudding and Skillet Hotcake. The Chia Seed Pudding was HANDS DOWN one of the best that we had so far. Its very smooth and chilled, perfect sweetness with yoghurt and fresh fruits (strawberry, berry and mango). I love the sweet mango and berry, its just adding natural sweetness to this healthy food.
I used to ask my self why they call it Hot Cake (translate: Kue Panas) like is it literally a Hot Cake? But then, this is actually a kind of soft pancake and its very famous in Australia especially in a cafe serving brunch menus. The edible flowers even make it more beautiful and tempting to eat.
If you are a fan of coffee, you have to try their Cappucinno or Mochacinno by Revolver Espresso. People said that their coffee is one of the best in Bali.
For the main course, Lucy picked BBQ Pork Ribs with brocolli, red cabbage, fennel and toasted almond slaw. The meat was OH SO JUICY! It just fell apart from the bone like so easily with just a gentle touch. I love the barbeque sauce, the tender and juiciness of the meat.
I picked this super tempting Angus Beef Burger, who can resist? Its Angus Beef dude, the patty has that smooth texture like sashimi with some english mustard, fennel cranberry & walnut slaw, caramelized onion jam, melted cheddar, fresh tomato, pickles and fried baby potato for side dish. Even the fried potato was so good, I love the right saltiness on the skin.
Overall, its a nice brunch here at the finest cafe in town. You got to taste the perfect brunch menus with a cup of great coffee right from Bali for only 2 days! Don't miss it.
