GYU KAKU JAPANESE BBQ - Citywalk Sudirman

It was Sunday night, April 17th 2016 when we had no idea on where to have dinner. We were like having a tough discussion over a Mama Goose in Panglima Polim (for the best Gyu Tan Don, IMO) or Negiya Donburi in Citywalk (for another famous Gyu Tan Don as well). But, I remembered the last time when I visited Citywalk, I saw a few authentic Japanese restaurants there. And, we both rarely like almost never visited a Japanese restaurant with Sushi as their main menu. So, we said lets go and have a look there!

JAPANGO - Menteng / Sarinah

[SHORT REVIEW] Satu lagi restoran bertema jepang dengan konsep makanan rice bowl dan Robatayaki (sate2an Jepang). Sekilas menu makanannya agak mirip dengan restoran fast food jepang yang menyajikan rice bowl, karena tampilannya pun simple. Restorannya sangat sempit dari depan dan lokasinya tepat di sebelah FAME Menteng yang jual Martabak Boss & Warteg Express,

[RESTAURANT REVIEW] Ever seen a local fast food chain? Then let us introduce you, this is CHICKEN PAIKUT! A fast food restaurant in Kelapa Gading (Gading Hybrida), just next to Nasi Uduk Ibu Jum or Ncek Legenda Noodle. You might have known them from bazaar to bazaar as they are very popular in this segment, especially teenagers! They love this kind of food :D The main product is basically fried chicken or the cool word is Kaarage :p

SOTO KUDUS SENAYAN - Senayan

[RESTAURANT REVIEW] Well, this is actually our first ever Indonesian Restaurant full review, so we'll review in Bahasa. Terus terang ini pertama kalinya buat gw (Jeffri) nyobain Soto Kudus Senayan, soalnya kalau weekend biasa gw nyarinya any kinds of Western / Italian / Fusion Japanese, etc (read: Selain Indonesian / Chinese food). Bukan karena tidak suka loh, tapi karena mungkin weekdays kita sudah makan Indonesian or Chinese food, jadi pengennya sesuatu yg lain. Nah, Soto Kudus Senayan ini sebetulnya sudah berdiri belasan tahun di Jakarta.

TRATTORIA - Lippo Mall Puri

Finally came back to my favorite Italian restaurant in town! Trattoria Cucina Italiana has established its business in Jakarta for many years, in Kuningan FYI. And since then, they opened up their new branch in Lippo Mall Puri GF, just next to Fctry Bistro or Papajo Eatery.

NOODLE KING - Pantai Indah Kapuk

[RESTAURANT REVIEW] Finally! There's a real competitor of the famous Legend of Noodle in PIK. Introducing NOODLE KING! A Korean restaurant offering some spicy Korean noodle as their main selling menus, alongside some famous Korean dishes. The outlet was kinda small from the outside, while actually it is quite spacious inside. The location is just next to Shirokuma in Rukan Crown Golf, so you must be very familiar with the location.

CHOP CHOP - Taman Ratu Indah

I'm honestly not really into Chinese or Indonesian cuisine when it comes to going out for lunch or dinner with my wife (even when we were still dating as a BF & GF). I am also a big No No to Sushi/Sashimi thing, sounds very picky right. But not really actually, I eat almost everything if you ask me to. This Chop Chop restaurant is one example mix Chinese, Western, Indonesian cuisine that I really recommend you to try.
