A coffee shop that we are really familiar wth since they opened their first outlet at Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. We loved their coffee and their brunch menus (1st outlet) and so we decided to visit this second outlet which was quite hyped on Instagram! Let's check out our quick review!
All the way from Singapore, that the first tagline that we heard when they gonna open up their first outlet in Jakarta, Indonesia. This is Joe & Dough, a coffee shop and a bakery originated from Singapore. Currently having 12 outlets in Singapore itself and they are opening their first ever overseas outlet in Jakarta on 29 October 2018. We got the privilege to experience their business during the pre-opening event on 25 October 2018. It is located at Plaza Indonesia 2nd floor just across Sephora. And as of our pre-opening event, they were still some minor construction on the interior, so you may see the final result on the opening day. Let's check out our experience here!
Came here on 14 July 2018 and knew it from a friend of us who visited here the day before! They were 2 weeks old by the time we visited here and they just introduced their complete dining menus. Plunge Dining & Co is located at Jalan Pesanggrahan, Kembangan, West Jakarta. Its not a big cafe in terms of physical size, but we truly enjoyed their unique food creations (especially their breakfast/ brunch menus). We won't categorize this as a coffee shop, simply because they serve good food and service you just like in a fine dining restaurant. There's one staff dressed up in a formal suit serving you the best 5 star dining service, its in-between nice but unusual for a small cafe (especially around West Jakarta). Interior wise they are very minimalist like literally so minimal decoration. Let's check out our dining experience here.
Lately lagi jenuh dengan concept coffee shop yang gitu2 aja, bukannya tidak menghargai seniman kopi ya. Tapi somehow kalau dateng ke coffee shop di Jakarta, kita mendapatkan kesan yang begitu2 saja. Kebanyakan tema interior nya monocrome / kayu dengan rasa kopi yang biasa aja, hingga udah jarang banget kita bener2 mereview Coffee Shop. Tapi awal Juni 2018 kemarin sempet terpikat dengan postingan Insta Story temen yang sedang ada di sebuah halaman luas yang hijau dengan ruangan kaca transparant di dalam nya ada mini bar dengan mesin kopi. Judul nya "A Hidden Gem at Jakarta" seketika kita langsung bertanya, itu di mana? Dan akhirnya kita decided buat datengin. Nah untuk kelanjutannya bisa langsung baca di article kali ini ya.
Here's one of the most talked about new coffee shop in Jakarta: Pison Coffee. Its one of the most popular coffee shops in Seminyak (if not in Bali). Beberapa kali pengen cobain pas di Bali tapi pasti ada aja alesan buat batal. Akhirnya bisa cobain juga di Jakarta dan gw quite excited sih. Apalagi selain coffee, Pison ini menawarkan menu2 Brunch ala aussie (walaupun ada menu Indo Asian nya juga sih). Kali ini gw bakal review jujur secara singkat ya guys, karena gw hanya order 2 food dan 2 drinks. Lets go!
I didn't intentionally plan to make a blog review when visiting here because me and my friends were about to only have some drinks here. I heard a little bit about this coffee shop from my friend and little did I know that this is still from the same group who owns Cassis Kitchen. Apparently, KLTR Coffee is actually located at the same area of Cassis Kitchen. The theme here is some sort of oldies American Vibe like back in 1920s with its respective music as well. Earlier during the opening, they only opened until 5 PM, but lucky now they open until late night 10 PM. Not only Coffee here, you can also enjoy their tasty Lunch and Dinner menus! I'll show you some that me and my friends had here.
Another new coffee shop in town, specifically in Kelapa Gading. I am a very picky person when it comes to reviewing coffee shop. I don't know I just feel like pesimistic about current coffee shop trend where they only sell coffee (I mean standard coffee sorry). But this one HOURS is something fresh and tempting. The whole fresh concept that I saw from the social media really attracted me to come. I visited here for a quick lunch and they have only a few menus to try. I really hope they add some more main course menus, such as steak or pasta because I hardly picked a main course for that little options. But my first impression was pretty nice, foods were fine, coffee was decent, room was quite packed as it was still around a week or two of the opening. I don't have much to show, but hope you enjoy the review. Let's go!
Satu lagi coffee shop yang hitz di Jakarta Barat. Rasanya kalian sudah banyak yang tau ya, ini Sudoet Tjerita. Posisi nya tepat di seberang Neo Soho (ruko Royal Mediteriania). Waktu gw dateng sih tempat ini pure buat ngopi2 aja soalnya belum ada makanan berat nya. Hanya ada pancake beruang nya, beberapa pastries dan 1 jenis spaghetti yang ready to eat. New Coffee Shop & Bistro in West Jakarta! Not sure if you guys have heard a bread and pastry shop called Papa Mama, but I knew them ever since I moved to Taman Ratu Indah in West Jakarta. They have been there for quite a while focusing on bread, cakes, and pastry. Until this May 2017 when we were surprised by their new Papa Mama Coffee & Bistro. Its a totally different shop? We visited there for some quick lunch and look what we found, delicious brunch menus! Without further a due, let's have a quick tour to their new shop!
You may call me so yesterday, but the fact that this is my very first time visiting Giyanti Coffee is truely ashamed of me! I was invited so many times by my friends last year but I never really made it here. And I was quite surprised when I came here 18 March 2017 when they already renovated the whole cafe into a brand new Giyanti. I have to admit that this is currently my most favorite coffee shop in Jakarta! It was so comfortable sitting here either alone or with friends sipping some coffee and having some light pastries. I made this post just to share you how beautiful the cafe is! So have look!
Many of you have probably heard or even visited Beau, but for us, it was until 1st January 2017 when we visited their branch for the first time at Cikajang, South Jakarta. It was the first day of 2017 and we randomly picked this place when we saw someone posted it on Instagram. It was unexpectedly beautiful, either the food, the drinks and the interior. We really love the white theme and the green plants around the cafe. They also have another branch at Grand Indonesia actually, but well you can't compare both of them as they are located on two different places and environments. One in an indoor department store (Central) and one in a stand-alone cafe. Let's have a look!
Its lucky for us to come at the opening day of Guten Morgen Coffee Lab & Shop. We didn't plan it and didn't know that it was the first day! We arrived together with some foodies and it was fully packed and super hectic inside. All seats were occupied, so we waited for a while before we got our table. I have to say that I really love their decorations, they put so much tiny plants all over the corner that make it so comfortable, so relaxing and most of all so hommy. I really hope to come again a few weeks later when the hype is not this big, so that I can enjoy my coffee and brunch here.
